Zannic Armel-Beaufils

Daughter of the painter Louis Duvivier, Suzanne dite Zannic followed in her father's footsteps. In 1923 she married Émile Armel-Beaufils, also an artist. She lived somewhat in the shadow of her husband, although she exhibited at the Salon des Artistes Français and took part in the regional exhibition of Breton art in Rennes in 1942. Together with her husband, she created the oratory of Notre-Dame de la Garde in Saint-Cast-le-Guildo. The theme of her statuary is mainly religious. Zannic also made medals. Her collaboration with the Manufacture Henriot is modest (2 to 3 pieces) and is dated around 1935.
