Lucien Gros ( - )

Born in the Bas-Rhin, Lucien Gros studied with Ernest Meissonier, who was also the father of his best friend. He exhibited at the Paris Salon from 1865 to 1882. He won a medal in 1867. He began his career by painting historical scenes, then around 1880, he turned to Brittany and painted scenes illustrating the life of the people of the sea.
