Paul Grégoire

Painter born in Pithiviers in the second half of the 19th century. He studied in Paris. Member of the French artists since 1902. He obtained an honourable mention in 1903. Heir to a wealthy family, he does not seem to have been very present at the Parisian salons, his personal fortune not obliging him to exhibit. He was very attached to Brittany, Pont l'Abbé and the Bigouden country, from which he drew very important and endearing scenes of life. Another province is marked by his passage, Lorraine, where we know a certain number of paintings representing genre scenes in the countryside, but also beautiful bourgeois portraits.
