Suzanne Dechamps ( - )

Suzanne Déchamps was born in Rouen. She was a French painter of still lifes, landscapes and scenes from everyday life. She was a pupil of Paul Eschbach. Active mainly at the beginning of the 20th century, she was part of a pictorial tradition attached to the observation of reality, while developing a personal style marked by gentleness and poetry. Her work is distinguished by a harmonious palette, soft brushstrokes and a particular attention to the play of light and atmosphere.

Her works have been featured in several exhibitions and private collections. She was a member of the Salon des Artistes Français from 1934 onwards.
