Yves de Chastellux (1914 - 1995)

Yves de Chastellux is a Belgian painter born in Brussels in 1914. He studied at the Royal Academy of Fine Arts in Brussels and began his career as an illustrator for newspapers and magazines.

He works in a figurative style, producing portraits, landscapes and still lifes. He uses bright colors and bold patterns to create dynamic, expressive compositions.

Chastellux is very active in the Belgian art scene, notably as a member of the Académie royale de Belgique. He has exhibited in numerous group and solo shows in Belgium and abroad, winning several awards for his work.

Throughout his career, Chastellux has also worked on graphic design projects, theater sets and book illustrations. His work is held in public and private collections in Belgium and abroad.
