Joseph-Alphonse Chauleur ( - )

Born in Lille, where he will have his own studio. Chauleur was a pupil of Pharaon de Winter, a teacher at the Lille School of Fine Arts. In 1928, he received an honorable mention at the Salon des artistes français, of which he was a member. He was awarded the silver medal in 1934 and the Prix de la société des paysagistes français in 1939. He painted interior scenes and landscapes, notably of St Tropez. On January 30, 1902, he married the painter Jeanne Alice dite Jane Chauleur-Ozeel. They painted and exhibited together.
