Arsène Chabanian ( - )
Arsène Chabanian is a painter of light, born in 1864 in Erzéroum of Armenian parents. He was naturalized French by decree in 1924. A student of Jean-Paul Laurens and Gustave Moreau, and a member of the Société des artistes français, he exhibited at the Salon des artistes français from 1894 onwards and received an honourable mention in 1896. He also received an honourable mention at the 1900 Universal Exhibition. Arsène Chabanian died in 1949 in Neuilly-sur-Seine.
