Adèle Gonyn de Lurieux ( - )

Adèle Gonyn de Lurieux was born in Paris in the 9th arrondissement. She is a singing and directing teacher and founder of the Renée Maubel music conservatory. But she is also a painter and sculptor. She exhibited in the Parisian salons at the beginning of the 20th century. She was made a knight of the Legion of Honour.

This woman, born in the middle of the 19th century, must have had a strong temperament and a great creative force. Widowed at a very young age, she married Yvanhoé Rambosson, a Parisian art critic, in 1889 and had a son. Widowed a second time, she remarried in 1899 in Kensington to an Englishman.
