Isabelle Delecourt dite Bel Delecourt ( - )

Bel Delecourt is a woman with a rather exceptional background. Born in Bourges, graduate of an engineering school, married, mother of three children, she seemed destined for a bourgeois life. During the exodus she settled in Quimper with her parents. After the war, she enrolled in evening classes at the École des Beaux-Arts. From then on, she never stopped drawing and painting.

In 1946, she entered the HB earthenware factory, and it was a revelation. Encouraged by her mentors Jos Kervella and Augustin Tuset, she quickly became successful with a very rich body of work. More than fifty years of artistic activity, always with the desire to highlight a profoundly feminine, soft, peaceful and graceful universe.
