Unsigned oil on canvas. Small dent in the sky of the canvas restored a long time ago (see photo).

This painting is a copy of a painting by James Collinson (1825-1881) dated 1877 and held in the Castle Museum and Art Gallery in Nottingham. The work is unsigned, but its location and technique suggest that it was painted by a self-taught mid-19th century painter and mayor of the city, Henri Arondel. This painting is of ethnographic interest. It shows us the city of Saint-Malo at the end of the 19th century.
