Victor-Julien Richard (1848 - 1916)

Born in Les Sables d'Olonne and died in Nantes, he was a local man. A landscape painter and still life painter, Victor Richard trained with Pierre Auguste Coutan. He favoured subjects from the Vendée and Brittany, as well as genre scenes.

Many of his paintings are in the Musée des Beaux-Arts in Nantes.
